- Description
- Wild Mountain Thyme is a traditional Scottish song, sometimes called Purple Heather or Will Ye Go, Lassie, Go?. The lyrics and melody are based on the song The Braes of Balquhither by Robert Tannahill, who was a contemporary of Robert Burns.
Lyrics to all three verses and the chorus are included along with a suggested piano part, although if you'd prefer, you can play the chords on the guitar or on any other instrument.
